Is the video saying only the person who first formalized the philosophical "essence" of a cup is an archtect and everyone else is just a cup designer but not an archited? I went to a conference on software architecture and no one there could agree what an architect was or did -- most of the time was spent arguing over definitions and I learned almost nothing about architecture. I also went to architecture school (at Michigan) and nothing anyone there said made any sense ever. I enjoy a nice building (or elegant software code) as much as the next person, but if philosophy is for people who can't cut it as mathematicians, art theory is for people who can't cut it as philosphers.
